The first time I went to One Ok Rock’s YouTube channel today, I was so stunned to see it came with six different subtitles. That is aside from the fact that the song itself is sung in pure English. At first I thought it was from a different OOR related channel I’m subscribed to. Lol. You just know this song is special for all of them, because they seriously are trying to break the language barrier. Not only that, they acknowledge the existence of their Portuguese, Spanish, French, Chinese, English speaking fans. Making every person count, to get their message across. Not just their music, but the FEELINGS within those music. And that really strikes home for me.
When I think about it, each one of us can be the light, and if we ALL really TRIED to, we can change so much for the better. And that baby they flashed last just…it’s so powerful. It was like, “if we start now, think of how it will vibrate throughout the generations to come. If we use what we’re good at to help people move towards that, it will all change so much.” I know it’s the same lessons being told to us time and time again, but we need constant reminders so we won’t lose sight of that path.
Ahhh. I can’t put it to words. It’s too powerful for me. Right now I can’t sort my thoughts but. I do know one thing. I love this band, and just when I thought I can’t love them any more, I find myself falling deeper. I have so much respect for this band. I don’t care if some say, “their style changed in this album” To be honest I haven’t heard it and I’m waiting for the right time for me to listen to it so I can share it with someone special to me. But if I were to judge this album by THIS song, I would have to say that the album is a reflection of their humility — the first thing that made me head over heels for this band.
And reading about what Taka said, that this album was about his life, I honestly think that THIS is Taka from the inside. For the people like me who look up to Taka, this is just too powerful. I believe this album is the most humble yet.
Because One Ok Rock is not a band who does music as a living; One Ok Rock does music because it is their WAY of life. Their music evolves and grows with them. Though we may not know them personally, I believe their music is like their own bibliography. They have always said, they don’t make music that sells. They make music that’s from their hearts. And this is why this kind of change, it overwhelms me.
A lot of people say, “I miss all the Japanese in their songs” but to be honest, I feel like they are acknowledging all the efforts of their international fans. Come to think of it, didn’t they make these songs while they were on tour around Asia? We even heard Clock Strikes on the Zankyo Reference Documentary. Somehow I feel like this is for us, their attempt to break the language barriers. So we can listen not only to the melodies, but to the message. This is the aftermath of the response they got from us as they toured and as the years went on as we tried to reach them. But of course, this is my opinion. Since I was around during the time the people in the fandom wished for an English album so we can stan OOR to our friends. But they made it all on their own. And instead of us STANNING them, they STUNNED me. Lol.
Ahhh. Okay. I’ll leave it all at that. Please remember. These are just my opinions.
 P.S. Still on hiatus :)
…And also my memory is bad so I’m not sure of the exact words Taka said in the interview about the album but the gist was similar to that. So in any case, please correct me for whatever misconceptions I might have.

I agree with you… They are the best… Even Portuguese subs are available… This song, this video, themselves, Japan’s will power… They’re just AMAZING! Thank you for existing!
